Thomas Stein was allegedly involved in the shooting death of Rincon-Miller in March 2024. Police say she was walking with friends near Del Prado Boulevard in Cape Coral, Florida when a group pulled up in an SUV, got out with guns and demanded their belongings. Shots were fired, killing Rincon-Miller. She had been walking from the Coralwood Movie Theater to a nearby McDonald's when the shooting happened. Jurors are expected to hear from the other teenager already convicted in the crime. Christopher Horne Jr., pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and is expected to testify in this trial.
