Former Tennessee Morgan County Correctional Complex inmate Reginald Steed is charged with the first-degree murder of Corrections Officer Dustin Pedigo and possession of an unlawful weapon in a penal facility. The charges stem from the fatal February 24, 2026 stabbing of Officer Pedigo. Reginald Steed is currently serving a 27-year sentence for aggravated assault, especially aggravated robbery, and attempted voluntary manslaughter and is now being housed at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.
