Patrick Clancy Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Patrick Clancy has filed a civil wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the estates of his three deceased children, Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months). The lawsuit targets the medical professionals and institutions that treated his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, prior to the January 2023 tragedy when Lindsay Clancy killed the three children. The legal action focuses on allegations of extreme overmedication and a systemic failure by mental health professionals to recognize his wife's rapidly deteriorating postpartum mental health. The lawsuit names four primary medical providers and organizations, including Jennifer A. Tufts M.D., Rebecca H. Jollotta C.N.P., Aster Mental Health Inc., and South Shore Health System Inc. The complaint alleges that the defendants negligently prescribed powerful psychiatric medications, failed to monitor her suicidal ideation, failed to conduct mandatory lab testing, and neglected to coordinate her care effectively. The lawsuit states that Lindsay was prescribed at least nine heavy medications in the months leading up to the tragedy, including Prozac, Ambien, Remeron, Klonopin, Seroquel, Valium, and Lamictal. It is alleged that Lindsay was experiencing severe command hallucinations and states she heard a 'compelling and unrecognizable singular male voice' that told her 'this is your last chance' and ordered her to 'take them'.
