Pamela Smart

Pamela Smart was sentenced to life in prison in 1990 after being convicted as an accomplice in the murder of her husband, Gregg Smart. Gregg Smart was killed in the Derry condominium he shared with his wife, Pamela Smart. Prosecutors say 16-year-old Billy Flynn and 17-year-old Patrick Randall forced Gregg Smart to his knees in the foyer. As Randall held a knife to the man's throat, Flynn fired a hollow-point bullet into his head, killing him. Pamela Smart, who was 22 when her husband was killed, is convicted of being an accomplice to first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole. Her legal team argues specific evidence presented during her trial led the jury to a biased decision.
