LOUISVILLE, Ky. â
Following a 90 day suspension, Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Olu Stevens is back on the bench.
Stevens gave a guilty plea and was suspended without pay after admitting to ethics violations. This  allowed him to avoid a trial before the Judicial Ethics Commission.
Stevens violated judicial Ethics by openly criticizing prosecutors and others. He was upset the commonwealthâs attorney challenged his right to dismiss a jury based on racial makeup.
The challenge to Stevensâ jury dismissal is still before Kentuckyâs Supreme Court.
Oral arguments were in June, but thereâs no timeline for when the justices will issue an opinion.
